Hallo,
I have Heliopora in my tank for about two weeks. It was changing skin like leather corals do. And now I can see on surface of skin white spots, like dead tissue?
Tank is cca 400 litres, about 4 months old (plus 3 months cycling).
Salinity 1026
Ph 8.1 - 8.2
Kh 12
Magnesium 1350
Calcium 500
No3 cca 10
Phosphate 0.07

Lights are two Radion G5 XR15 Pro

Thanks for your help.

Hopefully nothing is chewing on it. If that is the case, then I am thinking it is not happy and could be dying off in small places. I've had my Heliopora do a partial die off due to my salinity being way off due to an inaccurate refractometer. I now calibrate it every two weeks with a known salinity solution of 1.026 that I bought.

I would also let the Alk come down a bit from 12 DKH. That is on the higher end of what I would keep my system at (~8.5 DKH). If there are any PH buffers being used, then I would avoid using that as well (if applicable).

Check at night to make sure nothing is bothering it just to make sure. Hope you figure it out.

Thanks, I have a Grotech refractometer, I will recalibrate it, for sure. Kh is falling slowly down, by WC.
Only strange thing - I have last two mornings in skimmer purple foam in cup. But no cyano in my tank...
