So have had my qt up and running for about 3 weeks now (using it to just observe the fish, not dosing copper or anything which is why i have live rock in there and not just pvc), and recently had an ammonia spike with what looked to be a bacteria bloom as well. And now my live rock has all the small white spots all over it ... is it all die off? Just a week ago it was covered in green algae. Any help would be much appreciated!

Spirorbid Worms. Very common. I had a bloom of them when my tank was cycling. They did die back a bit. But it's a sign that your tank is probably becoming established.

What kind of rock is that? If it’s CaribSea's Branch Dry Rock that’s kinda what it looks like, some of the initial coloring may have leached or faded from the algae that was covering it.

Thanks! Is it something that could be harmful to fish in there that i should try to get rid of, or is it fine to have in there?
