I’ve just noticed white spots around my maroon clowns face, they came within 1 hour of doing a water change on my tank, I’ve attached a photo, does anyone know what this could be?

White spots can be any number of things. Do you think you can get pictures under your white lights as well? Ich, lymphocystis, and velvet being the usual causes of white spots.

Showing any other signs or symptoms, sensitive to light, hanging out in a high flow area, scratching on rocks?

Any recent additions to the tank, live rock, livestock, etc?

Did you quarantine the clown prior to adding to the tank?

While clowns are pretty resilient. I would monitor the fish as it could be some sand stuck to its face from the water change. Blue lights really bring out all the dots and specs on fish so I wouldn’t be to alarmed just yet. Keep monitoring and report back!

If it's only on the face, have you noticed your clownfish picking at a particular spot on a rock? Sometimes female clownfish will tear their faces up a bit when cleaning a rock to spawn. If you've noticed such behavior, I wouldn't worry. If not, then we look further. Could it be sand from the water change?

Lymphocystis on the face would be extremely rare. It's possible I suppose, but unless you see them grow into cauliflower-shaped masses I think other possibilities are more likely.
