Just today I noticed these white spots/scratches on our mimic tang. He's was the first fsh we got after we set up our tank and he's been very healthy. He acts fine. Should I be concerned?

All tank parks are fine except alkalinity which has is gradually coming down.

Will need better photos but that is worrisome for sure. Can you take a few more hopefully clearer?

Does it look like dust or grains of salt?

Any other symptoms? Swimming in to powerheads, hiding from light, eating less, heavy breathing, scratching, flashing, cryptic behavior?

Agreed, can you post some better pictures. That looks very normal. It's possible some marks from sleeping against some rock.

Sorry. He's all better now. I do think it was more scratch marks than anything. Hes really hard to get pics of because hes very active. Thanks!
