White spots on my zoas?

My boyfriend noticed these white things on our zoas. He seems to think they're zoa pox. He asked me to see if the forum would agree with him or if they might be something else. Its the white things down at the bottom. Any ideas?

They look like some sort of worm not pox so um......... ya I think u might have a live rock bandit called the naudibranch they are small when they hitch hike so they ate my zoas but mine were black.....

If those are palys rather than zoanthids, then you might be seeing the sediment and sand that palys use to re-inforce their coenenchyme.

Looks like sand and the polyp is growing over it. When you get zoapox the polyp doesnt open that nice.

So my boyfriend took the zoa out and decided to take a closer look. He said it was really hard, even with me telling him not to mess with it. He ended up putting the zoa back in the tank after deciding it was nothing to worry about. Thanks for all the answers!

Im pretty sure it isnt zoa pox. I had a case of zoa pox on rasta zoas and it melted away over a span of a month. Im not sure, but it might have affected my utter chaos. The thing is, it still opens but not as big as it used to. A buddy of mine said that the shrink might be due to it spawning new polyps because it did pop 3 new heads. Anyways, I was wondering if anybody can help me out with my case?

Thats definatley some sand or rock rubble, i wouldnt worry about it
