White spots on rock

so these white spots just started showing up. I just noticed them today. So I took one of my craving tools and poked it and it was extremely soft. My guess it's a sponge but want someone to confirm. Alittle back ground on my tank. It been up and running now for 6 months. Started it with dry pukani rock from BRS. It's a IM40 fusion. My parameters are
No3-8ppm (Red Sea)
Po4-0.003 (Hanna)
S-1.025
Cal-440(redsea)
Mag-1300(Red Sea
I am hoping someone can help me out. Thank you for the help I greatly appreciate it.
