These white spots show up every few days. They eventually fade to the color of the rock and flake off. Are these eggs of some type? Snail perhaps?

Looks like Nerite snail eggs.Do you have Nerite snails?
I attached photo of Nerite snail eggs through the aquarium glass.

I bought a cleaner package from Reef Cleaners that included 3 or 4 Nerites. If those are the work of a few snails then they've been busy! Every few days there is a fresh load of them on a rock.

There you have it! Apparently it is very unlikely that you will have baby snails as they go through planktonic phase of development and most probably will not survive, but hopefully your fish will have some extra food.
