My tank has been up and running for 5 months and everything has been quite stable and healthy. But today I noticed that one of my Fiji rocks has grown white circular spots. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Anyone know what it is? And I need to do anything about them? Thanks!

looks like snails eggs to me, most likely nerite snails.
Thanks! Maybe this is a naive question, but is the expectation that they hatch or get eaten by the fish in the tank? Thanks

I used to have nerite snails in my tank and eggs were everywhere on the rocks. It looks very ugly to me so I removed all the them. However, I've never see them hatch nor seeing any baby snails. I replaced them with banded trochus and margarita snails, and they do breed successfully without those eye catching eggs.

I have this too in my tank, it appeared about 3-4 weeks ago, but no new baby snails yet. I watch them to see what will happen, but nothing so far. And i have no nerite snails (that i know of)
