White spots on the Eye

What you are describing could be any number of things: Bacterial infection, flukes in the eye, a small Lymphocystis nodule.

Please post a photo so we can give you a more specific diagnosis & treatment option(s).

I posted pictures yesterday but they aren’t clear enough.
I think I have flukes but since it is white I had my concerns about ich. Even though the fish has been dealing with this a month.
The tail in this first picture is covered in stuff and a few spots over the body. It has slowly gotten to this point over the last month.

It is flashing against rocks trying to scrape the stuff off.
Otherwise it acts completely normal.

I haven’t been able to catch it for a fresh water dip. Which is why I asked if it could even be ich on the eye

It's possible that flukes are involved, but you wont know for sure until you can catch one of your fish for a freshwater dip. Catch any fish as if one has it, they all do.

Also, I actually see less white today then I did yesterday. Now I see poc marks where white was and larger white spots where they were smaller yesterday (not like lympho pictures but it seems like the only option. Doesnt lympho get on the eye (but wiuld it leave pocs)?

Would velvet get in the fishes eye?

Absolutely.

Freshwater dip will help either velvet or flukes, and will help you figure out which one you've got going on.

I never was able to catch this fish.

The white spot is still on the eye and now there is another one right next to the original.

The things on the eye are kinda fuzzy looking. But not thick or anything, like lympho seems to be. One of the eye spots has a kidney been shape.

The body is clear of all but one or so spots now. Those being at the fin tips mostly.

I can borrow a proper fish trap from a friend but hesitate since she seems to be dealing with this.

I could get a dip medicine and dip her a minute but would hate to QT this fish, since that might make things worse.

Does this sound like something a dip would be good for or are those a waste of time?

I also would be willing to dose the tank with metro for a week or something if that would help. Metro is coral and clam safe isn’t it?

@Monkeynaut If it's been there this long and hasn't spread rapidly, then it must be a viral growth (probably Lymphocystis).

Best treatment option would be to feed vitamin soaked foods and maintain excellent water quality to help send the virus into remission.

Well, all I did was feed regularly (read heavily) and it got better.
I don’t see spots anymore and she hasn’t flashed against anything in a couple weeks.

I still don’t know what it was. But it is gone for now.
