White spots on war coral

I noticed this this morning. It looks like 3 small holes in the tissue with sand in them. The spots are just left and below center. It did get turned over yesterday by a passing conch. Any ideas of what it is and what I should do?

The sand has irritated it. Just leave it be, and it should heal up just fine. If it doesnt, and seems to be getting worse you should dip it.

I would consider mounting it to a wider piece of rock or something to keep it from getting tipped over.
