White Spots when introducing a new fish to tank

I have set up a tank recently. All the parameters are in check. But when I add a new fish to the tank in a day or two they develop white spots on them. Is that common cause it happened with two fishes. So I had to quarantine them and use cupramine to solve this. Need your thoughts on this

The fish were likely already sick before you purchased them. Most shops are just “fish motels” with all the fish that are constantly coming and going so it’s unfortunately fairly common to have fish harboring parasites when you purchase them.
