So I've got a newish tank, about 4-5 months 75 gallon. I've got some green and brown algae growing on rocks, with speckles of what appears to be coralline starting. I have a strong CUC with well over a hundred small to large ceriths, nassarius, nerites, and some hermits. I've got 4 damsels ( dang its tough getting them out!) and about ten frags of softies and lps. The tank was started with dry rock, cycled, then added some live rock from a friends tank about two months in. Had some mushrooms on the rock, but also some aptasia, so I took out most of that rock, as it was infested. Only left the stuff that didn't have any signs of it. There were also bristle worms, but that's all I've noticed.

So, in the last couple days I've noticed some white spots on some of the original dead tonga shelf. What is it?

Really hard to tell from the pic. Is that on one of the rocks you took out?
I would guess dead coralline or possibly sponges.

If they look like white disk they may be nerite snail eggs.

No, just took it today. Wasn't there until the last couple days. There's old coralline on thes pieces, but it's still purple/red.
