White strands on zoanthids

Ive seen white strands coming from the first zoa frag i didnt dip.

any idea what it might be? Ive seen them no where else in the tank.

I removed a lot via revive

maybe some kind of algae, are you sure that zoa is even alive still?

Looks like dying hair algae or filaments
Take a tweezer and pull each strand from base

I peroxide dipped and a worm body came out in the solution with white filaments. The worm was creating a body close to the center and suffocating it. Now the polyps are to their original fatness.
