Ive had this clown for a couple months now and it is always getting this white stringy poop thing. I’ve heard it’s either constipation or parasites. I’ve tried metro and focus but my clowns are the PICKIEST eaters and won’t eat it.
Is this something to worry about?
what can I do to help him?
If I add more fish will it affect/hurt them?

Has the fish been able to put on any weight that you can tell? Does the stomach look pinched? Praziquantel and fenbendazole can be used to treat internal parasites, not sure if you have those meds.

The stomach is definitely not pinched. They may be picky eaters but they are bright and fat ahah. I haven’t used those meds yet, how do you use them?

Metro in focus rarely works - since nobody really calculates the dose you are usually off the mark….too low of a dose won’t help the fish, but metro is bitter so if your dose is just a little high, the fish won’t eat it.
What foods are you feeding it?
In the absence of other foods, I’d say this is due to the foods.

I too agree on foods and can guess the fish is being fed both mysis and brine shrimp which produces excess mucus in the intestines often mimicking what is assume an internal issue. Generally with internal, you will see loss of appetite, pinched belly and other unusual behavior
