So my clowns got this white string on them today when I woke up on my female clown it was scattered over her belly and one on her back but now it seems to have fallen off of her. The male had a few along his back but they seem to be gone now.I did over feed on accident yesterday so I’m not feeding as much today.

there is slime on my rocks so maybe it is some slime that they picked up while swimming. Any help figuring out what it is or if it’s nothing to worry about is appreciated

Does it look like it’s attached to the fish’s body or like it’s sitting on it. Excess mucus related to brook can appear stringy, but this seems too long for that.
I don’t think it was attached cause I can’t see it on the fish anymore but I’ll check again when I get home

I do see what you mean that it looks like the string from brook but there’s no excess build up of mucus on the fish yet( at least not that I’ve noticed at all)

Appears to be slime and may indicate insufficient water flow
Take a turkey baster and offer Gentle bursts of water to dislodge and net it up

Brooklynella is a protozoan disease that causes clownfish to produce excess mucus. In turn, that mucus can peel off the fish in sheets. This can kill the fish pretty quickly, so you'll want to rule that out ASAP. Can you post a video of the fish taken under white light? I can sometimes tell Brooklynella based on how the fish is acting/swimming/breathing.
