I noticed this after I added some rock.
Nitrates are >1. Phosphate is at .06
It blows off but comes right back within a few hours. I do have vermetid snails but doesn’t seem to be coming from them.

Isnt it just sliming from irritation?

It’s not. I’m thinking it is the vermetid snails. I’ve recently upped my feeding because my nitrates are at .01 and noticed I’m getting more vermetids in the tank.

probably just particle irritation they look like they are trying to slough detritus off of themselves, usually you can see where the snails are living.

Turns out it is vermetids. Noticed them after I started dosing oyster feast and reef roids everyday. If you look in the fox flame picture you can see a purple vermetid shell on the bottom left.
