So I just got my first acro the other day and it has some white stringy stuff coming from the top of it. Not sure what it is. Only been in the tank for 1 day

Sweepers that comes out to get food or it could be the slime coat

Messenterial Filaments. Its either a defense, stress, or hunger response. I only see them in my tank when something is off like bottoming out my phosphates, or my nitrates are too high, or a very large parameter swing.

Ok I'll have to check water after I do a water change tonight.. Everything else is doing fine. I've never written had an acro before so I figured I would try it out and see how it goes

Keep all you parameters as rock steady as you can. Acropora hate change with a passion.
