White stringy algae? ID

Can anyone ID this white stringy stuff growing on my goni plug?

One pick in blue, other in whites.

could it be the corals "mucus"? sliming off something it didnt like? i wonder.

Does it move around? It almost looks like a spaghetti worm.

Not that I can tell. Seems to almost be growing out of the plug and thr wraps around stuff like a plant root

Could you get a picture in white light? Might be some kind of sponge. If it is algae I wouldn't worry too much about it, the white algae don't usually spread quickly.

Na, not mucus. I've seen that before.

This does look like spaghetti worm tentacles as far a color and size, but it's like they are coming out of the plug or attached to it. No sign of a worm.

The second pic is in whites, my phone is just changing the tint. Sorry
