Hey guys so I have a kole tang that has recently developed a white stringy mass on his side and another piece on that same side’s fin. I have had this fish for 6+ months now. There are 2 clown fish, and a blue regal tang in the tank as well and all are fine. My tank has been running for 9 months. No change in appetite or swimming patterns. Sorry for all of the pictures just hoping for help.

Let me know if there is anything else you guys need to know.

Welcome to R2R. :)

Could be lymphocystis, as mentioned. Hope so. tbh though my first thought from those pics was that it looks like frag glue. I've heard of fish accidentally eating frag glue but not of it getting stuck to them. So far.

I had a PBT that nipped at a frag probably 10 years ago and found a pocket of coral super glue that hadn’t dried and it got on his upper lip. It took 3 mos for it to fall off and it looked terrible

I know that’s what it was because I watched him do it as soon as I put the frag in.
