I’m new to treating fish, what is the procure to cure this ?

I just bought a new 10 gal tank from Petco and have a filter sponge filter and air supply all ready with a 50w heater. I bought copper power and prozial also metro and focus.

I also have a tail spot blenny in the tank too, should I pull him and treat the same ? I never seen him poop or have strings

I commend you for having a QT tank in place but before presuming this is a problematic issue, it may be as simple as Excess mucus in the intestines from foods especially if feeding exclusively. . . Mysis and/or Brine shrimp
If so, simple change or add to diet- pellets and other food such as LRS fish frenzy and small plankton which will change consistency. If fish does not appear thin or lethargic- likely a dietary issue rather than internal issue
Pics under white lighting always helpful with assessment

Thanks for the info, I will get a photo of the fish tonight, the reason behind this is he is almost 2 years old and the smaller one died suddenly; no signs of anything besides rapid breathing and stringy poop .

I never did a qt tank but time is changing for me as I wish to progress in the hobby! Got a IM NUVO 60 SR upgrade coming
