Bartlett's anthias in QT still has stringy white poop after 14 days of feeding medicated food (GC/focus). It's also gone through dosing GC/metro every 48 hours (GC on Days 1 and 7, metro on Days 3, 5, and 9 - as recommended by @Humblefish: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-current-qt-process.483371/page-6#post-5525062) as well as 14 days of therapeutic copper. None of the other fish in QT have stringy white poop and this fish happens to be the one who eats the best (though still not that great). Any suggestions? Since the 14 days of copper are up, should I go ahead and transfer to a clean QT and continue to feed medicated food? The recipe for medicated food I followed was from @HotRocks: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-current-qt-process.483371/

I've had the best luck using frozen food with metro soaked in focus for ten days.

#reefsquad, what's your take?

Is metro reef safe? My clown has stringy white poop today :(

I have used it in my reef. It's important to soak it into some soild pieces of frozen food with focus. Turn off all pumps, wave makers and return pump when feeding and spot feed directly to the fish. Only small amounts at a time to ensure they eat all of it. Pieces not eaten are to be removed.

Focus binds the metro. Makes it safer in a reef with corals and inverts, but remove uneaten pieces. Ten days should do the trick. I use LRS reef frenzy.

I use fenbendazole for fish I suspect of internal parasites. I inject it into PE mysis shrimp using a 25ga needle. I feel like less gets into the water that way then with focus. I just inject enough to where the shrimp gets a little white and plump but without leaking out. I do it every 3 days for a total of 4 treatments. I have had a lot of success treating leopard wrasses that way.

Thank you. Should I do the same recipe (1 scoop focus/1 scoop fenbendazole per 1 Tbsp food)? How long should I feed for?

Is this a better alternative than metro or GC soaked food? Or do we need to do both metro soaked food AND fenbendazole soaked food?
