Getting diatoms during cycling process. I have 2 clowns and 10 cerith Snails in a 125g tank. What the heck is this and should I be worried or remove it?

Can you put an arrow where you want people to look?

Almost looks like an anemone, but only about the size of a dime. And I only see this one in the tank.
Was this 'live rock'? It does look like an anemone - like a bleached rock anemone. The id - depends on where you got the rock

Yeah, it's dry rock.
Well - then its completely unclear - what it is. So you're saying you bought dry rock. It was flat/bare - and then this showed up?

But as others have said - it looks like eggs of some sort - I'm not sure which of your fish would have caused those types of eggs - unless the magnification is extremely high on your photo

Yeah, it was bare. I only have 2 clownfish and 10 cerith Snails. The "anemone" is only about the size of a dime.

However I took some ocean water, like a cup of it and poured it into my tank. From the surf of NJ.

Now should I try to let them hatch or will my tank be over run with snails?
Don’t worry dude you’ll be lucky if a few survive. That’s also a sign of good water quality ime

Thanks. Thought I was dealing with some type of pest that might take my tank over. Like some weird anemone.

Yea I hear you. There’s a lot to learn about the hichikers and micro organisms that make homes in our tanks. Keep posting pictures and questions, R2R will keep you informed.
Cheers to the new tank
