I've purchased a new 24k torch today. During my 1 hour ride home I noticed a little bit of white substance or gunk floating around.

I've acclimated it into the tank, as well as performing coral rx dip.

It's still oozing a little white substance from the tips after its in the tank.

This is my first torch or Euphyllia for that matter, so don't know how they react if stressed.

Is this due to stress? and is this normal?

following along. got my first torch today 30 minute drive, torch didnt make mucous substance until I began brushing the ceramic frag plug and moving it around. Left the same substance in the container I used. Now I am dipping in CoralRx will report back in a few days on how it looks. How did yours turn out?

Evening

Sounds like stress. Is it stringy or slimy looking? A pic would help , but sounds normal stress.

That's normal, probably stress-induced, find it a good spot, and let it rest preferably in low light to start. You picked a hard euphyllia to start with if it is an Aussie gold, they are extremely temperamental, they need good moderate flow, moderate to low light, and a really stable tank. Picture will help :)

Does it look like this?

Hi mate. Lasted about 3 days then stopped. What I've learnt is that this is how they stress and just food coming out. All the best!

Pictures would help to see what is going on. It sounds like a little stress, but pics would help.
