My clownfish have got some white film growing on them, it seems strange, I haven’t been able to get a picture but does anyone know what to do ?

Are they eating? Breathing Fast? Swimming around or sitting in front of the powerhead?

They do go in front of the power head yes and have started swimming around more at night, they use to settle in the sand, and they do eat yes

Brooklynella is common in clowns but need a pic.
Will look like a white film on the body as you describe.
Pure guess without the pic.

A 45-60 min Formalin Bath is one treatment.
There are a few available but time is limited, maybe a few days.

Not sure what you can get in UK. Look on Amazon. Lots of regulations in some countries.

The product should contain 37% formaldehyde + 10-15% methanol to be effective. May require several baths.

If not available (some jurisdictions link to cancer) there are several other treatments you can review on this site.

Time is of the essence though.

Not the greatest pictures but this is the smaller one, the bigger one is hiding in the cave so can’t get a pic.

Thank You, also on the bigger clown you cannot see much white other than a white spot literal spot under his eye, also I don’t see any difference in my bangii. I know we are waiting for pro medic but I just wanted to add this

I see despite pics being fuzzy, signs of brooklynella and fish a bit thin. Is fish swimming normal or sort of wobbly?
Eating?

Well they do seem to be swimming ok and yes all are eating as normal the smaller one hasn’t grown since I got him but I feed them shrimp 1-2 times per day. The bigger one swims for a bit but then goes straight back into the cave.

Add to diet, foods such as LRS fish frenzy, TDO pellets, formula 1 flakes and mysis shrimp, brine shrimp only not sufficient

I feed at the moment a mix of mysis and brine, will the fish be ok or what should I do ?
Add to diet and in same tank you can add ruby rally pro if brook

A few ds
How long do you think the fish will survive for as I’m not sure how long the ruby will take to arrive !
A few days yet. You can offer them temporary relief with a freshwater dip the same temperature as display tank which will buy you time as long as skin issue doesn’t get too worse or fish show increased respirations

Thank You for your help, I don’t know if this changes anything but I have just watched the smaller clown swimming round in a circle for about 10 mins

May be aggression from larger often the female which will steal all the food, take over regions of the tank, chase and corner it
