hi everyone,
I just got back from Reef A Palooza and was checking out the frags I got, 5 zoas and a torch. I was taking them out of my bag and noticed that all of them from one of the vendors have this white sponge looking thing on them. What is it, should I be worried? I plan to drip acclimate them and then do a bayer dip. Should I also try to scrape this stuff off? It's mostly on the plugs, but it's on the underside of the hammer torch as well.

Hard to tell from the pic probably sponge.

That's my guess, is there a way to know if they're bad or not, do I need to get rid of them?

Ha the conclusion is that it's superglue!

If it is sponge they are good for your tank. If You don't like it on the plug You could take it off with a borax blade or such. Any larger chunks might be put in a low light area or sump maybe? they could be easily added to a rock with a drop of super glue.
Does it feel like a sponge?
