Been in qt undergoing copper for almost 12 days this showed up over the last three days. It started with its mouth looking like it was locked open. Was eating up until then still active and chasing after food but unable to consume any.

Been in qt undergoing copper for almost 12 days this showed up over the last three days. It started with its mouth looking like it was locked open. Was eating up until then still active and chasing after food but unable to consume any.

Woah, that looks nasty. Could the fish have been startled and run into something? This looks like that happened, and then, secondary bacterial infection set in. With the fish not eating, it is going to be difficult to resolve. I guess a gram negative, broad spectrum antibiotic in a treatment tank would be the best course of action.

Agree on injury or bad bacterial infection. Neoplex or sulfaplex will likely be best treatments.
