White things on rock

One more everybody...We have these white string/strands growing on a couple of our rocks. The crabs enjoy munching on them, just curious as to what they are?

Looks like a type of sponge to me. I’ve got a little in one of my tanks too. If that’s what it is keep an eye on it. It started growing pretty fast in the one tank
