Even though white velvets are the same polyps as cc white walkers ( ask todd yourself he renamed them) does anyone have these growing good for them . Out of roughly 65 types of zs and ps these are the slowest growing for me . Wondered if anyone has had them really take off on them yet? Or any tips ? Anything would be appreciated thanks

White Walkers are supposed to be "More Blue in the Center" than White Velvet

I think they are tough to get growing also. I have had them for a year and they finally are starting to grow. It seems like they like flow and medium light so far.

Been growing in my system for about 2 yrs and grow super fast and in my system they can handle some light also

What kind of lights and flow King and Pete? And what do you feed them if you do ? Any advice would be appreciated thanks a ton. Merry Christmas wveryone !

I don't specifically feed them anything. I do blow the detritus off the rocks very often, and I'm sure they feed on that. I have a wp25 in my 29 for flow and for the longest time they were directly above the pump in a frag rack. So they didn't really get direct flow, but was getting the undertow from the pump. I have a 6 bulb t5, but they weren't directly under the fixture. The fixture is 24", the tank is 30". They were placed in a frag rack about 3" under the surface of the water and probably 1" from the side of the tank.

mdiesel , I've had them in low flow heavy nutrient system with low light and they grew well now I have them in a sps system low nutrients and under. 250 w mh and they growing fast , being blasted by flow . me I think they just love a little stability , only time I had problem with them was when phos jumped up pretty high . Hope that can help

My first frag popped out 4 babies in about 2 months then melted. Got another frag about a month ago and it has gone fron two polyps to 5. I always feel like my zoas grow really fast when I get them then slow down. I've been having bad luck with them lately.
