White worm on Astrea Snails?

Hello all,
I recently added some Astrea snails to my system and a couple days ago I noticed these white worm like things sticking out of two snails. When I originally got the snails a few had vermitid snails on them but I pulled them off and scrubbed the shells judiciously. I'm not sure what these are, maybe they're vermitids and I didn't do a good job removing the the first time around, but to my knowledge vermitids keep their spiral shape until they get larger. Mine had something like that. I think it’s a macroalgae.

Looks like a feather duster. They are harmless and helpful for detritus. I even have one that fluoresces.

If you touch the end, does it retract?
If so then I would say featherduster

If not, my guess is acetabularia algae
