Howdy,

Lately I've been going to more LFS just to enjoy the hobby and look at corals and learn and I've noticed that either the tanks only use blues or the lights are flat out better then mine.

I'm wondering on my 30 AIO what should my blues peak at ? Currently they peak at 35% but I'm wondering if I should go lower ?

The whites force growth ?

It’s not uncommon for fish stores to run only blue lighting during the hours of operation. It helps them sell coral. You can run your lights more blue dominant if you like. Might make a difference might not.

But what encourages growth

But what encourages growth

Kessils are engineered to encourage growth at any setting. So whichever you like the most visually is going to be just as capable as any other setting. The important part is to be in the correct intensity range and to NOT adjust the lights once you’ve settled on a color you like. Corals hate change
