Hi, first I always feel i can post here without being abused, so thank you, anyway my tank crashed a while ago, I brought a yellow yang after getting all my clean up crew, after putting him in my tank be started rubbing, guess I should have taken him back, after a week saw some white spots, managed to get rid after lots of water changes etc, all looked good, then brought more fish, so a few months down I have just lost 3 fish I think die to White spot, my yellow tang that had it originally had nothing, Two clowns seem to have got over it again, all clear, so I know now it's a 76 day cycle assuming that is what happened here, can I leave the 3 fish I have in my tank for the next 76 days, or will I now have to get rid to have a Fishless cycle or just leave in and treat, I think it happened because I was busy and hasn't kept up with my weekly change. Of I had I don't think it would have happened, but the white spot is obviously in the tank. Obviously I'll go back to my weekly changes now, thank you for reading, hope it makes sense

a lot to learn for you....
water changes dont do nothing to prevent/cure ich. its a parasite with many stages of its life and most are in cyst form that we cannot cure with medication for now.
anyways your tank has ich and it has had it since your first fish yellow tang was introduced and because you had only 1 fish a few water changes and cycle of parasite might have given you an false hope that it was rid of. but its not true.
you need to catch all fish in tank and take them to hospital tank and treat for ich.
there are ONLY 4 known cures for ich rest are myths.
1. copper based med (cupramine or coppersafe)
2. hyposalinity
3. tank transfer method
4. chloroquine phosphate treatment
main tank needs to stay fishless for 10-12 weeks, inverts and corals are fine. just no fish.
good luck
