Is this something to be concerned about? I’ve seen stingy poop and brown poop but not a clear glaze like poop

Are these fish in a QT?
We might talking about a internal bacteria infection.
Interesting. It’s not stringy but it’s white. I’d feed metro or General Cure in thawed and strained meds mixed with focus to bind to the food to be safe as a part of any quarantine procedure, personally.
@Humblefish @melypr1985
If internal parasites are at play, prazi isn’t likely to do much in the water column. You’ll need to feed them metro or GC (ideally GC) for 10-14 days with focus to eradicate internal ailments. To provide further insights before they went in both were safety stopped. They had 5 days to recover and then I put in Prazi. They are in the tail end of round 2. They have been eating and swimming.
I was going to CP next - but then I saw this
Feeding GC won’t treat ich or velvet, at least it won’t eradicate either one of them. But yes it’s the same mix. @HotRocks does it a lot I’ll tag him, I too have always used metro. You can feed GC ? Didn’t know that. I usually use Metro + Focus.
No problem GC treats ich/velvet so happy to switch.
Is the mix the same for GC? I can get GC at The LFS no prob

Cool - so metro is fine? I have a bunch of metro I can use [emoji28].
Start using after prazi round? The water change is schedule for tomorrow
You can actually combine metro + prazi, so long as both are in powder form.
Right - but I had the liquid prazi from Hikari dosed prior to discovering the white glaze poop.
It will be ready for a WC tomorrow. Figured I WC then start doing the metro treatment
Did you go with the GC? Praziquantel tastes disgusting to fish (and no doubt to us as wellQuick update - Kole tang hates the medicated food [emoji849]. It will continue to eat algae on the glass but won’t eat anything medicated. It will only eat mysis. I tried LRS, masstick, nori, and seaweed extreme. Yellow tang eats anything I drop in the tank.
). They are much more likely to eat straight metro-soaked foods IME. I've had some luck in getting fish to eat GC soaked foods with adding Selcon. Maybe give it a try.Did you go with the GC? Well that sure is frustrating!I’m using Metro + Selcon. Kole tang hates it. I had the same issue with my clownfish when I had to treat them. He will try to eat nori pellets - but spits them out as well. Only likes plain mysis and film algae
Hi all,
So big problem last night. My wife decided to feed the fish and overfed the QT. I came home and the Ammonia Alert badge was turning blue [emoji33]. I did a 50% water change, cleaned out the filter, and dropped in a MB7. This morning, the badge is yellow again. The yellow tang and Kole tang are alive. The yellow one is eating but the Kole tang stopped eating.
I haven’t dealt with ammonia poising before so wanted to check if I need to do anything else.

This is what the ammonia was last night [emoji33]. It was probably like that for 4-6 hrs I would say.
