I have a few white clearish bugs swimming around when I moved my rocks today. My tank is new in I bought live rock from kp aquatics. They looked kinda like rlly polly bugs. Also what kind of starfish is this? He hitchhiked too and just came out for the first time and scared the crap outta me. I knew he was in a rock but he hasn't come for 2 months that he's been in my tank ;Woot

Amphipods

The first group are mostly parasitic, the other two groups are great part of cleanup crew and free fish food.

Star fish is a brittlestar reef safe detritus eater and the best sea star for an aquarium, survival in our care anyway.

I would have to say it looks like the amphipod picture and there's more than a few in. Will they multiply? And is that a good thing?

Brittle star. Should be fine. Rolly pollies are most likely amphipods. Good guys.

Score on both. Feed the star some food. Frozen he would love.

I squirt frozen brine in there everyday as I have a cleaner shrimp and some hermits and some snails I added as cuc. Is that good or should I get something different?

Yes to both questions :)

They will multiply to the extent of food source vs predation. Cant beat their nutritional value either, like brine shrimp minus the french fries :)

I have a few stars from kp rocks also though mine are not that big. They eat everything that goes in. It’s crazy to see 15 hairy legs emerging at the first drop of food. Any cool macros on your rock?
