Whitish discoloration on 6Line

Trying to figure out what this is

I’ve had him in this tank for about 6 months with no new additions to the tank for at least 2 months.

No unusual behavior or flashing.

outside of skipping a 10% water change all is normal

All parameters are normal
Any ideas?

yes- appears as a blemish as can be post injury, scratch or bacterial.
Is fish eating and breathing normal, not labored ?
What is ammonia-ph-nitrate level and what test kits are you using ?

Luckily, the length of time you've had this helps rule out Uronema (incurable as it is). I agree with @vetteguy53081 - just a blemish/minor injury. Watch it of course, and look for additional symptoms, but I don't see anything treatable at the moment.

I have seen marks like this on my tang from her shooting around the rocks too fast and scratching herself. Observe and if it does not go away in 1-2 days then not a scratch

API for nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and Ph. Hanna for everything else except salinity and temp.

As suspected, the strip also work for freshwater and rendered inconclusive as API well known for false results. To verify your api readings, take a water sample to a trusted LFS that Does Not use api kits and see what results they come up with. I will never utilize $7 strips and and $24 master kit to sustain $100, 200 or more of livestock.
Hanna and salifert are much more reliable.

Idk if 80 is high, I run mine at 80 degrees and even then when I put my fingies in the water it feels cool and fish/coral seem like it more
