Hi all , I have a yellow wrasse with white marks on its body . Had him over 6 months and he has always had the marks .
Any ideas?? ?
Eating well no aggression from others in the tank .

I do have quite corse sand , which I'm currently changing over slowly .

Thanks in advance .

Pic is too dark with blue to clearly tell what your fish has, and will need pics under white light intensity

Hopefully this is better

Looks like scrape marks and either from fish darting into rocks or being chased/bullied. While these marks typically heal on their own, keep an eye on them for becoming red or sore which will require treatment.

Ok thanks for taking the time to reply .I think it could be the sand which is quite large . I'm currently changing it out for fine sand .

Actually good point- coarse sand can cause this too
