I may be overthinking this and I realize I can just do a water change and some guess work to fix it but..
25 lagoon running approximately 20 gallons. ATO malfunctioned and dropped salinity to 1.024sg.
So at what SG would I need to mix fresh water to raise the salinity in the tank back to 1.026 with a single 5g WC?

The answer to your math question is 1.032. Once you remove 5g of 1.024 sg from a 20g tank and then add 5g at 1.032 to the remaining 15g at 1.024 you will have 20g at 1.026.

However, I'm not sure that is the best option. IMO, you should continue to do your water changes at 1.026 (maybe 1.027) and let the sg slowly return to the desired level. Good luck!
