Who are your trusted Ebay sellers?

There was a thread created by @MSOEME2009 yesterday who generously let us know about a 20% discount on Ebay.

I missed out on the sale but am hoping to buy when the next one comes around. I'm curious who some of the trusted buyers are that people on R2R trust (new items are actually new, no knockoffs, good shipping, in good condition, etc.) so it's easy to just make the purchase later than agonize if I'm buying from a good seller.

If we are talking corals, I like socalaquafarms - I've gotten many nice, large healthy pieces. Super easy to work with. Occasionally posts some amazing classics as well as newer named pieces.

There was a time when eBay was full of scammers however these days buying on eBay is as safe or safer than any other platform.. my advice would be to check sellers feedback and their seller status, be sure to completely read the items description, avoid buying from overseas vendors because your eBay protections may be expired before the item is even delivered, the only problems for me have been with Chinese sellers and I would personally avoid them like the plague especially with expensive items.. I can tell you first hand as a veteran eBay seller they hold us to a very high standard across the board.. Item pricing, handling and shipping time, customer satisfaction and positive feedback are all critical to being a successful eBay seller and also critical to get prominent placement in search results.

I guess. I rather miss the days when ebay was actually a marketplace for used stuff as opposed to a forum for people to shill 'new' stuff. I considered it a badge-of-honor to be able to navigate my way through all the scammers and rather enjoyed 'messing' with them (because they were so incompetently obvious) . Actually got one guy arrested one time, mainly because he was such a moron .... but I digress.

Bought and sold lots on eBay back in the day (member since 1997) and only recently back since I started my reef. Left for a while because it became such a “new” stuff marketplace and shill site. Back then I was buying and selling antiques and classic car parts. Few and far between now
