Who can rebuild a pump motor?

I had an A.O. Smith motor on a Sequence pump suck a rock into the impeller last night. I found it not running and very hot this morning and took it off and got the rock out but it won't run. I figure the motor is burnt up. Is is worth having it rebuilt or should I just buy a new one? Anybody in town that can do that?

I wonder if a shop that rebuilds things like automotive starters, alternators, etc. might be able to do it.

Kelsey electric rebuilds motors. They are located on commercial drive. I use them to rebuild all of our motors at work. They do an awesome job and highly recommend them.

I has an old genx pc40 run dry
And have friends that run an alternator shop

The pump wouldn't run at all when I first have it to them

They fixed it in 5 minutes lol

I just bought a new motor/pump. Now, what to do with the old one. I may call the local shop and see if they can rebuild it for resale; but, if it costs $125 to repair a motor that will sell for $125 I'll probably just junk it.

The cost to repair a motor under about 20 HP far exceeds the cost of a replacement most of the time. Most rewind and repair shops only rebuild motors that are hard to find. I'll bet you can find the same motor somewher like WW Grainger for less.
