I'm impatient and want my clownfish tomorrow :)

But real though, tomorrow is my last remote day until next week. Tank is up and running as of last night.

Which vendor shipping today?

Very unlikely that you would find a vendor to ship out today. Furthermore, your tank really should cycle first before adding fish. Impatience is the biggest killer in this hobby!

It does not work this way as I was an LFS owner and there is a process with making an order, arranging a ship date and considered are temmperatures and room to add order with shipments already scheduled. Most have multiple orders with a manifest sent to UPS and Fedex a day or two in advance.
Your best bet will be a trusted LFS that has Tank raised clowns which are more stable with disease.

Thanks... been doing this about 15years. The fish are for the cycle.

I'm aware, but was hoping for a miracle. Start the cycle process and let my daughter see them before she leaves for several days. Worth a shot. Looks like I'll be waiting until next week.

No LFS here.

yeah... you should just go to your lfs instead of ordering fish. is there one you can go to?

I would recommend reconsidering a fish-in cycle. There are plenty of ways to cycle a tank that don't involve risking the lives of livestock, nitrifying bacteria in a bottle being one of them. You can find it at most fish stores

Again, thanks. There is no risk to the fish. Several bacteria have been added already. I've used this same process half a dozen times without issue.

Perfect, I read through your build thread and there was no indication there or in this thread that you had already added beneficial bacteria.

i did that as well but i used one clownfish instead because if something happened it was only one fish loss instead of two

Sorry All, i'm really not looking for opinions on how to cycle my tank. I've setup and cycled several with this same method and never lost a clown fish.

yeah well i was new in the hobby and wanted an easy way to cycle my tank

i didnt know much back then
Yeah unfortunately there's a ton of misinformation out there. My first freshwater tank was cycled with fish in it per the LFS recommendation. Live and learn

It's a pretty common method. I'm not sure it qualifies as misinformation. Either way it works, has worked, and will continue to work as long as you take the proper steps.
