Hello there

I live on the mid east coast. My budget is tight. Thanks to you all

I would pick Oceamo.
Bingo…and it’s only getting better. See recent post.

Hello there

I live on the mid east coast. My budget is tight. Thanks to you all

Rough cost of the 3 more popular kits (in no order):

ATI: $45 USD (BRS)
Triton ICP: $49 USD (BRS)
Oceamo ICP: 67'ish EURO - maybe $64 USD on Moonshiners portal

These are probably the more popular used in the US. As to best I'll defer as we all have our opinions and experiences. Whatever you end up using if this is going to be part of your staple then I would recommend finding one you are comfortable with and continue to use it so your trending over time is correct (apples to apples). Same vendor, results, format, etc.

YMMV.

I have tried a few and finally settled on Fauna Marin. The pro version is $39 and tests for 90 parameters. They also have a vial for your RODI water to test that.

If Randy says, "Oceamo", it's worth considering.
I always use Fauna Marin -- affordable and easy to navigate your results (Web) or quick look (PDF).

...sticking with Fauna Marin for now

Thank you @Dan_P - that is a very respectable price. I did a quick search and it will range between $23 - 25 USD depending on the source. Let me repost and add it to the list.

Updated: rough cost of the 4 more popular kits (in no order):

Triton ICP: $49 USD (BRS)
Oceamo ICP: 67'ish EURO - maybe $64 USD on Moonshiners portal
Fauna Marin Reef ICP: $25 USD (various places)

Note: I stay out of the which is better, best, juice worth the squeeze, etc but do know these are all some of the more mentioned or talked about. I left off Fauna Marin for no reason other than ignorance.

I plan on doing the Oceamo ICP, sent in my 1st one in last week, so hopefully will have the results by mid next week(I live in the North East). I went with the MS this time. Might do the ms every 3 months and the OES every month in between to save a little money.
The MS is $64.95, and the OES is $44.95 on the reef moonshiner store.

I have been using ATI but a buddy uses fauna Marin and I like the results he gets as far as description.

He gave me one, so next test I will send off both ATI and Fauna Marin just to see how they compare

No problem. I did a Google search recently because I needed 8 ICP’s.

Here’s the issue with most ICP’s. Do you want accurate numbers for all values or just some.? If you’re only interested in major elements and “some” trace elements then go with OES. If you want to see everything down to 0.05 ug/L or better…then send MS.
