Considering the next step with the trident and programming it to auto dose. Was curious from the community who does this and what experiences you've had. The good, the bad and the ugly.

It sounds great.

For me yes, it has worked great to stabilize parameters and has smart failsafes (for example dosing the default amount if there is a bad test result) to prevent anything bad from occurring.

This was discussed on Sunday.

Yep - use it. Love it. Works great. As noted above by @TheHarold it has a fail safe mechanism built in.

Note - dosing with or without the trident assumes you know the proper amount to dose. So if you got that right you will not do any harm by enabling the trident to auto dose.

Me me me! Found it also useful to dial it in a bit more as after the wizard you can increase the precision and % dosed if you are dosing a lower amount or lower potency additive.

I would need 2 tridents 1 for dosing and one for testing ?

No, a Trident does not dose. It just tests.

If you want something that doses and can be automatically adjusted by the Trident, you need the apex DOS.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
