:nerd: I was curious to know if any has seen or owned Blue Hornets that are the size of RPE's. I mean I have some Blue Hornets, both normal sized zoanthid ones and HUGE paly sized ones. Are they from the same species??? And if so, please reply and share the information with me and other R2R members. Knowing is half the battle...:nerd:

I could be completely wrong but am going to guess that they are the same and the larger ones were under much lower light. They look sweet

I did notice what looks like photoshoping in the pixels

I thank you for the post but both colonies are directly near one another...hmmm I dunno I am not a scientist

Thanks Lazy both frag are right next to one another and flow and light are the same. And yes some fine tuning occurred just because the flash wasnt working.

Look very nice, and interesting the difference it seems like lighting can make in the size.

I had the same discussion with a local reefer who is an avid collector of zoas and palys. He had both small polyps and large polyps. He claimed that the larger ones were black hole suns and the smaller ones were blue hornets. Who knows....

I don't have an answer to your question, but I would like to know what is in the upper left corner of your pic. I think I know what they are, but interested in what you call them.

From my understanding is that they are different. I'm actually on the lookout for those paly sized blue hornets. I don't think they could change sizes like that, it's just so drastic because people are selling both versions.

They're def not black hole suns though, which are a diff morph.
