I love these corals! Some of the coolest LPS around IMO. Who else loves them? Show off yours here!

Now those are lookers!!

I'm coming around to Favias after originally not being a big fan. Do fringe fish tend to avoid them? I.e. angels, etc.

It's hit or miss of course but I'd say more victories than losses with various dwarfs.

The biggest factor has been a distraction for the potential problem child... think nori clip with hard to get spots so it keeps coming back, or another fish that will keep it in check and moving.

My blueface is supposed to eat them like cookies but only ever zeroed in on one (for now).

Are they supposed to Sting others and be aggressive? My lfs has tons of amazing ones but I’m scared to put them in a small frag tank or a nano display

Most do not have much bite and have short stingers but they encrust so they will have some ability.

My war favia (red with green eyes) is a puppy compared to a hammer. My meteor shower can easily kill an acro at +3" but doesn't bother zoa.

Others probably have different examples.

Favias are some of my favorite lps. I’m planning on having them be a big portion of the lps I’ll keep. Soo many colors, and they seem pretty darn hardy. Awesome thread @Daniel@R2R ! I hope more people post eye candy! LOL

Here is mine. It has 3" long stingers and looks like hair at night.

Here it is a year ago when I first added it to my system.
And at 6 months before my urchins ate all my coralline, lol.

I just got my first one now that long ago! I always loved their colours and texture but I scared myself straight about their aggression especially in the confines in my nano. However my store posted a photo of one that was blend of my two favourite colours while I was thinking about ordering a few corals that would't end up in my DT but just for me to keep and get some experience with- Anybody want to guess what happened next ;Hilarious
