Well firstly they’re gonna come out at night, so train them to open during the day time it’s easier... and feed consistently ! Doesn’t have to be everyday actually too much feeding can lead to gut rot so be careful !
Question, will you be able to feed each polyp when they are mounted under the overhang? How much flow do you have yours under ? I'm planning to mount mine upside-down in an overhang to avoid tissue recession from any sedimentation.
Because the polyps dont share nutrients through the body, each polyp has to be fed individually. They need regular frequent feeding. This can lead to a spike in nutrients. Some reefers remove them from the tank to feed every couple of days. I leave mine in the tank but it is hard to feed 50 polyps without all the other critters attacking the food and stealing it.

As I understand, they dont share through connected tissue. My logic here is that if there is a mat underneath they should be sharing some nutrients but obviously these guys eat a lot more than some of the smaller guys.
