I find this acropora very unique from the few pictures I have seen of it, but I was wondering why I do not see it more often?

If someone has a mini colony/frag please post a picture of it and some info. on its requirements!

Here are pictures of it for those that have never heard of it:

Never heard of it... The upscales microcladous is pretty tight thou.. Nice green and yellow with purple polyps.. Iirc rocky mountain, nicks387, and battle corals all have it... I used to

Lee, get on ReefFarmers, and the Microclados hes talking about is a CLASSIC from years ago, its pretty rare from what I understand, not very many have it at all!.

It is a LE from 2003ish.

I have never seen this sp. of acro hold its pink color so well, is why it caught my attention.

The upscales is sick, im trying to build up my sps collection, slowly but steadily.

Wasn't doubting him Austin... Just never heard of it lol... That picture above looks real nice.... Only 2 people I can think of that might have it... Adam at battlecorals being one of them...

hey kelby, try checking nicks last for sale post with the pink acro. it might be similar.

I don't think my pink Dahlia is a microclados, it grows different then my upscales microclados. That pink one Kelby is talking about sure is sick though, I have to confer with some of my secret sources now to try and track it down......Lol. I will let you know if I can find an old school collector that has one. I know alot of die hards that may have one or at least point me in the direction of someone who does.

I was going to assume the same after I looked at the branches^.

Luckily I found one.... is why I posted the thread to find out some "sweet spot" care info. on it

Sweet coral!
they have an aussie pink microlados on divers den. looks purple but description says pink. hmmm

I saw that one, but it looks purple like you said.
Quoted from the LE Micorclados's page "They were some very exotic Pink and Blue colored Acropora colonies occasionally imported from Fiji during the spring of 2003. These coral colonies had thick upright branches that were in plate-like arrangements. Unfortunately these corals did not ship very well. They had a tendancy to die from shipping stress within the first few weeks in captivity. Their initial coloration was brilliant pink and blue hues. What typically happened was that a few branches were salvaged from the damaged colonies. These branches had a tendancy to quickly lose their brilliant coloration and fade to brown."

So I am assuming that many come in but very few keep eye appealing coloration.
