I just read my blue ring angels can live 25 years in captivity, and that seems believable. I've only had mine for almost two years.

Who has the oldest angel?

I have a French that just hit 11 years with me. Got him as a 3 inch juvenile and have no idea how old he was at that point, but he was probably at least a year or two. Needless to say, he's the biggest fish in my FOWLR.

I have 6 other large Angels that I've had between 5 and 10 years. I get them all as juveniles or at least small adults and let them grow up in my system. With proper care, marine Angels can live a very long, happy life.

how big is ur french angel now?

I kept my pair of Bandits for quite a while.
I obtained them as juveniles. They were roughly an inch long. I lost the female at 12 years and the male at 14 years.
Those are the fish that I have kept the longest.

Do you think they died of old age?

What do you feed them?
New Life Spectrum pellets in the morning. Various frozen food at lunch (angel formula, spirulina mysis, formula 2, etc) and nori in the late afternoon. Every day.

And they get a big clam on the half shell twice a week.

They were disease free fish in a system with no other fish their entire lives.
I like to think that it was old age, but they did not "look old" to me.

Love those fish, probably the fish I miss the most from my old tank.

Would have been cool to see the GP mature though.

GP, G. personatus? How long did you keep them?

Bandits are without a doubt my favorite fish species, but personatus are a close second.
I am a sucker for black and white fish!!
