I keep thinking my wrasse will start cleaning these things up, but nothing is happening. I'm getting frustrated, I keep brushing them off my corals and then they come back.

I know it claims to be safe to use, but I'm concerned with the toxins they leach when they die. How big of an issue is this really?

I've ran it a couple times. Try to siphon out as many as you can when they start dying. I tend to double dose and they died in seconds...

They do release toxins but I notice that my snails are the most impacted (but I think that's more from the FW Exit). Have plenty of carbon on hand and you should be fine.

The bad thing is it never really kills them all, and you'll have to dose more than once. My 6 line put a hurting on them though and I never see them much anymore. Not sure what kind you have, but I had the small grayish/brownish ones that like to hang out on your glass.

These guys are brown and I have a 6 line.

They mainly hang on my softies and euphilia. It's just a nuisance. I figured I'd prep like 20 gallons of salt water and do a big water change when I do it. Siphon as many as possible out and do the carbon thing.

I am running it right now. System is fishless, but I didn't seem to have any issues. One thing that surprised me was although they all seemed to die, a small percentage were still stuck to the glass so I ran it a second time to be sure. Just put in the carbon to stop the process late last night. None of my mixed reef, or my anemone seemed phased by it.

Currently my carbon is just in a media bag in my sump. I should probably set up a reactor when I do this, I'm assuming?
