I’m going to Florida next week and Disney for the first time…I’m so excited!:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: What are some fish stores I need to check out? I’m definitely going to World Wide Corals. I’ll be in the Tampa and Orlando area. Drop some ideas of places I have to check out. On a side note stay safe I’ve been watching the weather hopefully it isn’t really bad.

WWC is probably your best bet. I'm down in Cape Coral and I don't visit LFS very often. They rarely have anything exotic that I'm interested in.

After going to Disney you won't have anything left for corals.. lol
Yes very true! I am shocked at the pricing now and how they changed fast pass over the years. Even as a resident the pricing is high

fishface NJ, do you keep a tank in Cape Coral?

Orlando WWC
Tampa Coral Corral & there’s a few good ones closer to the bay I think maybe Aquasia or tbsaltwater

how’s ur reef lobster doing?

Hopefully Ian won't impact your trip too much. However you are going at the right time of year, the parks will not be crowded and you will get to see all the attractions with minimal lines and wait time.

For what it’s worth FL is in state of emergency I think and many universities in S FL have closed - good luck OP

Not yet but planning an Innovative Marine 75 g. Once I have it I'll make a trip to KP Aquatics in Tavernier for rocks

Living reef, Top shelf aquatics and world wide corals in Orlando are all great stores. I don’t get over to Tampa much anymore but Marine Warehouse had a bunch of bigger and cool fish that last time I was there. A great selection of freshwater fish if you’re into that side of the hobby as well.

Definitely drop by Top Shelf Aquatics and WWC. For both of them you can ask them for a tour and they are both pretty amazing to see.

We are as ready as we can get. Wind is an issue, but we have a new metal roof and solid shutters. The storm surge is the big variable. The weather guys always over estimate it, but Ian is driving just up off the coast which means it's east side winds which blow due north will push water up the Inter-coastal Waterway and the Caloosahatchee River. We are at 9-10 feet above sea level here. We'll know how we did by 4ish this afternoon!

This is Windy's forecast for noon today. Our house is just above the gap between the '7' and the'9'.

Cape Coral: The hurricane made land fall around 3:00. Power was lost just before 10:30 AM.

This was taken 11:00 AM. Notice the boat ramps are no longer visible and boats are loose. Some boats capsized too.

The club house is flooded. The lobbies are also flooded. Pool area is under water. 6 Elevators have saltwater in the shafts. The rain with the winds is driving the rain to seep through the windows.

@Ron Reefman hope you and your wife are okay

Smart move! If we had a home somewhere else, we'd probably left as well.
Did you guys make it through okay down there? We are devastated that the area we have been visiting for the last 10 years or so has been so badly damaged. We really liked staying in the Matlacha and Pine Island area and it is pretty much wiped out now. We were looking at places to stay down there for a week in December/January literally two days before this hit.

Agree marine warehouse has a good selection of corals and awesome fish that alot of other places don't have and as stated have a huge FW selection. I got my branching hammer from them
