This morning I find my orange Yuma and my Rainbow Tangerine Acan engaged in battle!

I had noticed they were getting close to each other, as the Yuma is now 4" to 4-1/2" in dia, but didn't expect this! I broke up the battle with an acrylic rod and am now waiting to find out the damage :(

Anyone have a guess on who lost?

I'm 100% sure the acan loses. I have had the same thing happen in my tank.

You are correct :(

I was in able to get a good pic, but the area the Yuma had grip on is dark and gloomy now

Yuma are some tough corals. I don't think I have found anything that can win a fight with it.

1 mature head and 1 baby dead in less than 24hrs....hoping that's the extent of it.

I was wondering how they would do with this bad boy

He packs a pretty nasty sting

That's kinda what I figured. I gotta do something about that favia though. It will reach about 3" already and sting everything it can.

The "no reach Yuma" was the least of my worries...so I thought!

I was worried about my Space Invader Pectina, about 5" in dia, with it's 6 or 7" sweepers.
After dark pic taken with flashlight...

Hard to see the clear sweeper, but if you look close it is "stinging" the Rock Nem! The Nem seemed to be fighting back, and it survived, but it was "disfigured" and never has been the same!

Pectinia are notorious for their sweeper tentacles. They almost need to be caged....
