I am. I have pics from before. And currently same schedule but only have one coral as it is newly set up

I run G4 pro XR30s on my 60 with no extra lights and have great coverage. But then again it really depends on what your tank size and dimensions are. Like my 265 I have 3 G4’s with extra lights to get the shadowed areas!!

A lot of the necessity comes from tank size, type of corals kept, amount of units and how large the corals are.

If you can post some of this, it will help. For example, a 2 foot cube with a pair that is a year old has no need for supplemental lights, whereas a 72x36x30 with acropora colonies might need supplements with 4-6 units, but not with 8-12.

There is a lot of nuance in this.

so at the present setup I have 2xr30 pro g42 250 mh 14k phoenix an 2 36 inch ati blue plus i would like to switch to all radion my tank is 60wx36front to back x30 deep

XR15 G4 iwith diffuser on a Red Sea Reefer 170 Mixed Reef LPS dominant. Runs about 80% on the Coral Lab template. Very happy with coverage, intensity and health of corals.

I can see if I went heavy SPS I may have wanted XR30 or 2 XR15 or perhaps T5 supplement. But I knew what type of tank I wanted which is why I went with this light fixture.

With 36 front to back you would need 2 rows of light. 60 long would need 4-5 lights. So 8-10 total XR30 should be good IMO

I don’t know the dimensions of reefer 170. Mine is 36x18x29
